Sagar Shah founded Styra before he turned 21. Living in Mumbai with no investors, no industry connections, and no roadmap — just a conviction that Indian homes deserved better than the fragile, generic decor filling every store shelf.
He started with a 3D printer. Not to play with technology, but to chase a design vision the existing market couldn’t deliver: pieces that were shatterproof but looked precious, lightweight but felt considered, affordable but never cheap. The first prints weren’t perfect. The first months weren’t easy. But with his family standing beside him in the daily grind of building from zero, Styra became real — one piece at a time.
Sagar leads product design and material innovation at Styra. He is responsible for the decision to build every Styra piece from food-safe, shatterproof polymer — a material that survives drops, monsoon humidity, courier transit, kids, pets and daily cleaning without compromising on aesthetics. He oversees the in-house design process and Styra’s eco-friendly packaging made from cornstarch and sugarcane derivatives.
